"The more sand has escaped from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it."
-Niccolo Machiavelli
(These artists won first place)

Why drive all the way to the beach when you can just hop downtown to Pioneer square? Unfortunately I forgot to put my memory card into my camera so I don't have as many pictures as I would have liked :/ But anyways, there are some crazy sand sculptures out there! They are really impressive. Admission is a $4 suggested donation but if some of you are on a college budget like me, a dollar would suffice. Although the sculptures are impressive, there was something lacking from this event. The live cover band was not really my cup of tea and I almost wish that there were more sculptures, but it was really entertaining for 15-30 minutes. It's a great event to check out if you're hanging out downtown and want to tack something on before dinner or a movie.
