"I'm not making art, I'm making sushi."
-Masaharu Morimoto
As a sushi enthusiast, I have been to quite a few sushi places and they've mostly all been good but I can say with 100% confidence that Mio Sushi is my favorite sushi restaurant in Portland! Their food is always fresh, no matter what time of day you come in (even at 3 pm like I usually do). It doesn't matter what you order, you really can't go wrong. They also make other Japanese cuisine such as soups, noodles, bento, etc. and unfortunately I haven't been able to try these. Every time I go I have to get their Mio roll (Tuna, crab, cucumber, avocado, masago, and sweet sauce)
The sushi in the back of this picture is Mt. Fuji (Cucumber, avocado, crab, baked spicy salmon, green onion, sweet sauce, cream sauce, and sesame seeds) and mmm mmm is it good! It's rich, and filled with delicious sauce.
The price may not be super cheap but hey you get what you pay for. I've been to Mio Sushi countless times and don't plan on stopping.
With over 6 locations in Portland and other locations across Washington, Oregon and even China, there's no excuse to not go sit down and enjoy some Mio Sushi. Unless of course you don't like raw fish, then you're just weird.
